You can nott clean a MAF you can only replace it. If you do try to clean it it will get you by for a little while but you will definitly have to replace it, any way so whats the point of cleaning it when it is easier to replace it.. When you get a new one from the auto parts store ask for instructions on replacing it or by a manual for your car their like $25
References :
How do i remove the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor out of a 2000 Chevy Malibu?
I found what seems to be the MAF sensor in between the throttle body and the air-box. i cant tell if the MAF sensor is the whole gray colored piece, or if it is a little black plastic piece that seems to hang onto the side of this gray piece. The reason i ask this is because i plan on cleaning the sensor, and i do not want to mess it up in any way and have to purchase a new one. Thanks.
